New blood was bad but I still enjoyed it more than that trash ass season 8. Seeing Harrison's story arc was kinda cool and it was interesting to see that even after years dex never really changed. Although the writing of that season is ass i admit, Kurt was fucking irrelevant to the entire season and the cop got that cheap shit. But the Vogel season was fucking trash and the antag sucked balls.

Cap GoT s8 is legit one of the worst seasons in TV ive ver fucking seen. The giant fight episode was fucking terrible, and the ending was the biggest asspull ever. "Who has a better story than Bran the Broken" Legit everyone else in the fucking show

Bro didn’t understand it as I said, their dynamic by far contributed the most to dexters character, yes Hannah knew the real him but Rita made him want to be a better person and appreciate human connection in a real way for the first time.

Also the cheating and shit with lila was intentional, Dexter multiple times easily could’ve walked out on Rita but felt an emotional and moral obligation to stay

Well it's way better than getting killed by your gay son. At least in S8 you get the idea Dexter is going to live a peaceful life completely far away. It was a good, fitting end. S9 was dogshit because of the ending mainly.

I disagree, the whole point of the show needed to resolve with Dexter being held accountable for his actions seeing how he constantly effects others lives around him through his actions (Rita,Deb,his son etc) but dodges punishment himself.

The season 8 ending was stupid because it didn’t resolve any of that. He just isolated himself, s9 had a much better ending imo one because of its symbolic aspects. But important Dexter finally is held accountable for his actions. He started killing again after years, and once again this causes the harm of someone else innocent. This being Harrison’s life again. He is finally confronted as he’s awaiting legal action and has finally no way to escape this time and lets Harrison kill him.
