I’ve been following the Dharmasthala case closely over the last month and thought I’d compile everything that’s come out so far for anyone who’s lost track. I used chatgpt to paraphrase and condense everything into points

Background

In July 2025, a former sanitation worker from the Dharmasthala temple complex alleged that between 1995 and 2014, he buried over 100 bodies on temple land many of them women and girls under instructions from superiors.
According to him:

Some bodies showed signs of sexual assault, strangulation, or acid burns.

Burials allegedly happened at night to avoid attention.

This blew up fast, partly because Dharmasthala is one of Karnataka’s most influential religious and cultural hubs.

SIT Investigation

Karnataka govt formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in mid-July, headed by DGP Pronab Mohanty.

They identified 13 alleged burial sites based on witness maps.

As of early August:

11 sites excavated → 9 were empty.

1 site had a partial skeleton, another had a skull and bone fragments.

Forensics are working to confirm age, sex, and cause of death.

New Witness

In early August. Just a few days baxk another man Jayant T. came forward, saying he saw a minor girl murdered about 15 years ago in Dharmasthala and believes she was buried quietly.
Claims no FIR was filed at the time.

SIT has taken his statement.

Connection to Soujanya Case

This has reignited anger over the 2012 Soujanya rape-murder:
17-year-old pre-university student, last seen near Dharmasthala.
Found dead next day, rape and strangulation confirmed.

Initial accused acquitted in 2023 due to lack of evidence.

Her family has demanded reopening the case, saying powerful people interfered.

Censorship Drama

In July, a court issued a gag order removing ~8,800 links/videos/articles about the case from the internet.

High Court lifted the order in early August after criticism over suppression and possible judicial bias (the judge had ties to temple-run institutions).

Misinformation & Legal Threats

A Kannada YouTuber, MD Sameer, made an AI-generated video directly accusing the temple leadership was slapped with legal notices for “spreading misinformation.”

Police have warned against fake news that could inflame communal tensions.

Where Things Stand Now

SIT is still exhuming and testing remains.

Witnesses are under protection, but many are allegedly scared to talk.

Public opinion in Karnataka is sharply divided some see this as a massive cover-up, others think it’s politically motivated.

TL;DR:
Whistleblower says 100+ bodies secretly buried in Dharmasthala, holy place in India for over 20 years. SIT finds remains at 2 of 11 sites so far. New witness claims a teen girl was murdered and buried. Ties drawn to unsolved 2012 Soujanya case. Gag order briefly wiped coverage from the internet. Forensics ongoing, truth still unclear.

being rich and doing this alone wouldnt make sense gotta be a group or some gang
For sure. This isnt the work of single person..at minimum several insiders covering for each other. Whether that was a gang or just a ring of powerful local politcians we dont know. Regardless this stories scares the shit out of me tbh. The world is very evil.

Read the thread it is interesting
I did. I don’t understand why these bodies are there at all. No motive possibly released to the public? They usually have a rough idea from forensic psychologists, at least, as to why one would do such; this can even be for a blanket reason such as mere fun. From there, they build a profile.

Super odd stories. That is a lot of corpses. You don’t understand how many people 100 is until you count them in an auditorium.

Thr problem is the people in question are extremely powerful with a lot of influence in the government. They can easily tamper with the evidences or delay the entire process long enough so public forgets about it and then erase the evidence.

Countries openly corrupt seem quite fun to visit as a wealthy man. Having any sort of Western-tier funding automatically makes you a leading political figure in these places.

The Soviets committed the Katyn massacre against the Poles, blamed it on the Germans falsely, and then planned to nuke you in the 7 days to the Rhine. Britain, no doubt, saved Poland. The Soviets never cared about you despite muh pact.

As such implying insulting language and the likes.

You don’t get taught this much detail about WW2 in English school, we got a brief ‘39-‘45 rundown with minimal ‘33-‘39 undergone; you instead have to enjoy history extracurricularly and find out that way. I won’t state a historical fact unless it has sound documentation or a lack thereof.

I speak the true English, the most eloquent and expressive language there is. Most speak a broken version of incorrect grammar and retardation-level vocabulary.

You’re welcome!

They don't even believe in satan down there afaik
You can believe what you want in Hinduism basically. It’s more a cultural philosophy; doesn’t adhere to a mutual, transcendent law-set. Narrowing this down to be Hinduistically-motivated would be very easy as you can infer almost any tradition there to be Hindu due to its vague and vast spectrum of belief.
