I’m pretty impressed how many fear mongering people got to some of you forum users. Let’s run some things through.

Wrong. In fact on the dutasteride insert depression and anxiety isn’t even listed as a side effect of the medication. The only reason fin has it listed was because of the PFS foundation. They did follow up studies and declared they could not draw any conclusions on it causing mental issues, especially considering how many prescriptions were administered. Secondly, if you look up the molecular weight of the molecule, it’s barely at the same amount of molecular weight needed to even be able to pass through the blood brain barrier.

The mice studies are not comparable to humans. Not only because we are not mice but in the studies they used ten fold the normal dose something unachievable by humans to even take. One study they dropped mice in water one on fin and the others not and recorded how long it would take for them to give up. Insufficient evidence. Additionally, most “studies” done are mechanistic in nature which means it’s only looking at a fraction of what’s going on.

They don’t continue doing studies because there have been plenty done on this topic to conclude there is zero reason to worry and most people just nocebo themselves.
