Dht gel and growth plates

I went to see my endocrinologist a while ago. I told him about the Hgh and Dht gel, he told me to stop with the dht because it plays a role in early growth plate closure. Is that true, it's hard to believe that the minimal amounts of dht absorbed systemically from dht gel could close growth plates. Plus that shit works crazy good im not hopping off. I'm 5'9 at 15 my bone age is 13 and my dad is 6'1 and my mom is 5'6.
