Still going through the thread chronologically, while responding to newer responses. Anyway… on to the answer…

I cannot speak for Germany, considering I have only visited Germany just a number of times, but I do think that second-gen and third-gen immigrants are better integrated, since they grew up in the west. But, there’s also a need for preserving their culture and/or religion to a certain degree, though it’s always a diluted version. And it’s only diluted because they are seeking to please their parents as well as adjusting to the local customs and norms. It mostly comes from the way they were raised, though in combination with external factors (i.e. noticing how natives negatively speak of immigrants and their religion), a decent chunk of them seek to hold on to their own identity. In reality, however, they end up being “too western for their ancestral nation and too Islamic for their western nation.” Some end up becoming extremists.

And then there’s also the large portion of them that become “thugmaxxers,” where they are influenced by their peers, rap music, etc; these people haven’t only disappointed their parents, but also the natives. At the same time, they have also done something that the locals wanted in the first place, which is to let go of their parents’ culture and to adjust. And they’re adjusted, but in a different way, where they look up to the criminals. Whose activities and actions go against their parents’ cultures and religion.

Now the question is: who has integrated better? The “thugmaxxers” who disappoint their parents as well as the natives, but the natives also complain about them breaking the law and whatnot, which directly stems from them disobeying their parents or at least going against their culture. In their cultures, it’s not something

Another wave of an immigration crisis will create a lot of negativity amongst the natives but ultimately they are unable to do anything about it. There will just be a lot of racism, both openly and secretly. At the end of the day, it’s up to the governments on how they tackle the issue. Question is, why do western nations have to take these immigrants in? Why not the surrounding countries? Now the natives are the rulers of their nations and outsiders cannot discard them.
