Did any of you have alcoholic parents?

My dad used to be an alcoholic up until I was 14. He would chug alcohol at the beginning of the day so he could be semi sober before me and my brother came back from school. I couldn’t tell at the time but looking back he was far more verbally abusive and on edge when compared to how he is today.

There was other weird shit with him that I can now attribute to his alcoholism at that time. Crazy shit man.

He used to drink alot of alcohol but not too much out of the norm for German standarts.

Went completly cold turked too since 8 years so probably wasn't addicted
