I certainly did. As early as 1st grade, I remember following a crush around at recess (but was too shy to talk to her)

Later on, in middle school/high school, I also showed signs I'd grow up to be an incel.

There are a number of ways to define incel.

I've had sex (I've even had non-escort sex). So I don't qualify for the strictest definition of incel.

Seeing as it's been almost 4 years since my last non-escort sex, however, some would say I'm an escortcel (which falls under the more fluid definition of incel)

Here's another sign that (in retrospect) foreshadowed the fact I'd grow up to be an incel: When I was a freshman in high school, I remember telling my sophomore male cousin "If only we had a free pass to feel up any girl, whether she likes it or not"

I know my comment sounded extreme. But imagine being a 14 year old boy (full of hormones) who's never done anything with a girl (and feels like he'll never find a willing girl)

I'm somewhat different in the sense that I grew into my looks. I looked much better at 22 than at 12, for example.

That being said, I wasn't really hated by my peers until age 11 or so. Like you, I noticed the general pattern that high functioning autism doesn't really hold you back in the early ages. The only difference is that I reached the point where it began to matter at a slightly earlier age than you did.

I didn't even know I was autistic yet in 1st grade. That being said, I'd guess my autism was what caused me to follow my crush at recess.

I just thought of some more signs I'd grow up to be an incel:

In high school, I'd listen to girls pee from the hallway at school.

In elementary school, I'd listen to my female babysitter pee from the hallway at home.

On a somewhat related note, my 33 year old self isn't a whole lot different than my 15 year old self.

At 15, I remember being too shy to talk to the foid I was crushing on. Same thing now at 33.
