I need to add density to my existing straight hairline, doc said 800 grafts. Im afraid to lose my exisiting hair.

Is shock loss telogen effluvium or a lack of blood supply to native hair? I dont have mpb (derm confirmed + 2 year photos) but HT surgeon says in rare cases shock loss can be permanent. I dont care if its temporary but if its permanent then im fucked
