i did MSE when i was 16. Improved face but made my face a bit flatter and longer, asymmetry didnt get effected or even got worse. You should still do it and then have bimax for best result (source: my orthodontist)

Like 5mm in the end, but I expanded to 10mm first then turned back. I had a cant in the maxilla that was fixed afterwards (it straightened it back to level)

A little bit but it made my nose wider and my mandible look smaller compared to my maxilla so I’m getting rhino and lower jaw surgery. You need to be prepared to potentially have surgeries after truly ascend

Both a small amount it’s subtle but they did improve. I guess the mm’a adds up

Yes, but my ortho cut the arms off it after split

At what age did you do it?
I’m 20 and have a 31 IMW and about to do it in a month or so,

What would you recommend if you could go back and do it again?
Only expand 6-7 mm’s? Chew a lot with it in?
Any way to prevent the alar base and nose from widening? ( I’ve already had one septo / rhino )

Might be missing something, but how would it make your face longer if it only expands your face sideways? If anything according to that principle, your face shape should be wider no?

whoops, i had SARME, it got wider, still maybe puberty or sumthing it now looks slightly longer
