Did cervical headgear recess my maxilla and midface?

I was told by my orthodontist to wear a cervical headgear (for 6 fucking months every night) that pushed my molars back as opposed to extraction (before then getting self ligating braces). This occured when I was around 14. Could this have played a significant role in maxilla / midface recession?

BRB. I'm using my imagination since you didn't give us any pictures.

Are you slow? Why would I need to show pictures. I’m not asking for a visual assessment or a rating.

My question is purely theoretical: can cervical headgear worn during adolesce, specifically to distalize molar, apply enough force to negatively affect maxillary or midface growth over time?

For context, this was worn in my case every night for ~6 months at age 14, followed by self-ligating braces (not traditional braces), with no extractions. I’m wondering whether that combination could plausibly contribute to reduced maxillary projection, even if the effect is subtle; tldr: we know that molar extraction definitely causes recession, I’m wondering if molars being pushed back by these cervical headgears can cause a similar degree of recession or if its unlikely.

MY maxilla is fine (check pfp, its front profile but you get the idea) Its not really that recessed nor flat its just subpar.
