I've been thinking about getting this done since i've come into some money and could theoretically afford it now

But even looking at his patients, there seems to be a risk of the philtrum looking weird and also the chimp look. I actually notice it in quite a few cases with all surgeons, even the best.

It is because asians have the full midface recession.

He moved his maxilla, but he did not move the areas around his nose, and his cheekbones remained subhuman.

He needed to do a custom paranasal implant, and also the infraorbitals + malar implants to move the whole midface forward, imitating leForte 2

Alfaro is a god. Alfaro turned him into the most Chad version of himself possible, which unfortunately for him is still subhuman, but no other surgeon would have gotten results this good. That's one of the most impressive jaws I've ever seen created from an originally retrognathic mandible.
