Most people fuck it up, usually all the black guys i've seen that try to facial hair max better hollow cheeks and stuff allow their facial hair to get too kinky/curly which ruins the effect, ideally you should have somewhat long but compact stubble that then lies down alone whatever line you're trying to emphasize.
