So today I had to meet up with a girl from my class to do a group project. We had barely talked before, but during the meeting she was very friendly with me in a way that felt unusual compared to what I'm used to.
She showed up a bit late and said something like “Sorry I’m late” in a soft tone and added that I seemed really shy. During the time we were working, she was engaging me in conversation, asking me questions, and at a few points lightly touched me while talking (like tapping my arm). She also randomly said something like “You had great hair in your graduation photo, by the way,” referring to my yearbook picture (she saw my email pic) which caught me off guard.
I’ve never really experienced this kind of interaction from girls before, so I’m not sure how to read it. Could these be signs of interest (IOIs), or is it more likely she’s just naturally extroverted and friendly with everyone?
Would appreciate objective thoughts. Thanks.
