Did I lose out on bone growth?

Ive had braces from 12-14 and after they were removed I had “permanent retainers” put in the back of my front two teeth on the top layer of my teeth, and the four front bottom teeth. Has this stopped any bone growth?
The retainers look like this

The braces probably did mess up your bone growth a little. That retainer looks like it would help though
