Did my ortho ruin me?

I recently Looked at my before and After Pictures and I realised how much my ortho has fucked me Over. For some reason I got 4 teeth extracted even though I already had bad forward Growth which made everything recess further.

Here is an before and after picture
Did my ortho fuck me over or am I imagining things? I literally have now issues breathing and I think it probably has to do with that.
