really sad to hear about connor murphy, regardless of what anyone thought of him, nobody deserves to go out like that. RIP.
It’s confusing, after he got heavily into ayahuasca and other psychedelics around 2020, his behaviour became erratic. over the next few years there were bizarre videos and a lot of spiritual beliefs, long fasts I think 40 days + and lots of mental health and cries for help obviously nobody can say psychedelics directly caused his death, but they seemed to coincide with a dramatic decline.
it just makes me wonder. aren’t these substances supposed to help you heal, find yourself and “see the light”? for some people they genuinely might, but for others, especially if they’re vulnerable to mental illness, they seem capable of making things much, much worse.
it’s just confusing because you always hear these things are supposed to help people find purpose and improve their lives, but then sometimes they seem to send people down such a strange path instead. maybe it’s underlying mental illness, maybe repeated psychedelic use can trigger something in vulnerable people (definitely can jfl) or maybe it’s a mix of both. either way it’s really sad.
still wanna try ts tho
