Humans have been around for 200k years and no one had blue eyes... The moment we settle down as farmers instead of hunter gatherers, they suddenly appear. This is not a coincidence. I think it's because when we were hunter gatherers, looks didn't matter as much, all that mattered was to be a fierce tough survivalist.

As soon as life became more stable, people immediately started to sexually select for looks primarily.
