It was idolized
Like tiktokers curling their hair
A small but noticable group had it as natural
The small penis on statues is more interesting tbh were they all dicklets

The Greeks saw small penises as civilised and more aesthetic. And big penises as aggressive and bad for sex funnily enough

Here's a similar situation
It's like the irish are redheads thing
In reality redheads are still kinda rare there
But a lot compared to the rest of the world
Also in turkey they will say laz people are blonde (colored eyes, light skin etc.)
In reality people will have a few lightskins in their family and say
"All my family is blonde bro"

That was intended to symbolize sexual constraint and the lack of primal instinct that could negatively impact one's ability to think logically

This is pretty sad indeed. They have incorpored such a good individual as jesus in their anhistorical approches. Same goes for the Church who took for itself the paganism of its time to put it in their faith.
That's why i strongely believe that there shouldn't be an opposition of "today is better/yesterday is better" but rather using our minds and seeing that both have good and bad sides, and only aiming for the truth.

Here is an excerpt from Book Six of the ancient Greek epic poem, the Odyssey (lines 230–235 in the original Greek), from Robert Fitzgerald’s translation, describing the goddess Athena making Odysseus appear beautiful:

“Athena lent a hand, making him seem
taller, and massive too, with crisping hair
in curls like petals of wild hyacinth,
but all red-golden. Think of gold infused
on silver by a craftsman, whose fine art
Hephaistos taught him, or Athena: one
whose work moves to delight: just so she lavished
beauty over Odysseus’ head and shoulders.”
Notice how, when Athena makes Odysseus appear beautiful, she gives him “crisping hair in curls like petals of wild hyacinth.” The reason why Athena does this is precisely the same reason why ancient Greek statues often depict men with curly hair; it is because the ancient Greeks considered curly hair beautiful.

Stolen from some university history nigga on quora
Sounds about right to me

This is very true, historically and both logically.
Same for those who drink alcohol as if it was the graal while all it does is to keep you away from actualizing your human nature.
But, moreover, "big PP" were seen as very ugly, and disrepectful : The more you had a tiny one, the more you were considered as an high class, aristocratical individual.
This shows how the concepts have been alienated nowadays with all the BBC stuffs.
I'm not saying that one or the other is better, as for myself i find it pretty gay to even talk about PP, but thing is, for this example, in ancient times, they had a real meaning behind it, while nowadays it's all about going all out with your instincts like mere animals.

Some Southern Europeans can have natural curly/wavy hair. Curly hair is just rarer in Northern Europe.
