It used to be that I could do a hard count of the number of comments under a video, and I could compare that hard count to the number displayed by Youtube at the top of the comment section. The differential would be the number of comments the Channel had deleted. Knowing that a channel deleted a lot of comments on a video tells me the comment section is not representative of actual public opinion. Now whenever I do a hard count it is always the exact same as the number that Youtube publishes.
