keep your stomach full - water (drink before eating for early satiety) also eat fiber since it is not absorbed.

You will hungry through habit, you will just need to make eating less a habit, also fasting is good.

How many calories were you eating before

Cut down slower. These are foid level calories you're planning to eat. You will lose a lot of muscle mass. Start by eating 2000 kcal

2320 kcal to mantain weight
Probably between 2300-2500
Jumping to 1200 calories would not be doable I wouldn’t Do that. Probably start With like 1700-2000 calories and keep decreasing every month. After 2-3 months you should be doing it easily

Why not just water fast for a couple of days every week? IMO that's the best and most sustainable way.
1200-1500 kcal a day will make you feel like shit because you have to do it for a longer period of time.

The calorie deficit you would get from a 3day water fast would probably be the same as 12 days of 500kcal deficit(assuming TDEE is 2000kcal).

Recently, I have been experimenting with doing ADF(alternate day fasting) permanently and it's been going really great.
I just don't eat every second day and do some cardio on the fast days while I do strength on feeding days. I don't really need to count kcal on the feeding days and eat whatever I want.
To maintain, you need to eat in a single day what you would eat in two. To cut even more aggressively, I just do OMAD(one meal a day) on the feeding days.

Water fasting + fasting in general is the way to go for fat loss.
You excrete some GH when fasting(forgot the specifics) and you minimize muscle loss with water fasting, you will definitely lose more muscle doing 12 days of kcal restriction(Even worse, if you don't get enough protein) than just doing a 3 day water fast.
