I've heard that Brazilian Portuguese and "European" Portuguese are so different that Brazilians have it difficult to understand people from Portugal.

They even use a different syntax, the Brazilians say "Eu me chamo", the Portuguese say "Eu chamo me". Is that right?

Yes that’s correct. I have no problem understanding Brazilian people but our accent is heavier so I can see them having some issues understanding us. We also say “ amo-te” whereas Brazilian people say “ te amo”

Wierd how Portuguese sounds melodicaly similar to serbian language. There were even lots of people who said the same. Now i hear that too. Im talking about the euro Portuguese one. Sounds the least latin out of latin languages, like a serbian trying to speak spanish

Because russian is more well known, but euro Portuguese sounds most like serbian, reason is cause serbian accent is softer like portugese, russian is kinda too harsh

Brazilian accent varies a lot even within Brazil
Thats probably because of many different influences to our language such as africans, portugueses and italians
