Difference between potassium chloride and regular potassium?

I was looking for potassium chloride all day yesterday and couldn’t find it. I ended up settling for regular potassium tablets, and im just wondering if I should take a higher dosage for the regular potassium or if it will even have the same effects?

that contains potassium gluconate rather than chloride, serves the same purpose but you'll need to dose more of it because it contains less elemental potassium than chloride. go off of nutrition facts and recommended dosages to figure out dose, i'd recommend starting at 2 pills a day and working up to 5 a day
