A Female friend of mine claimed to find this out while trying figure out how to achieve dimples her self. She even went up 4 pounds in weight while doing the said procedure and her cheeks were hollower than before.
She also told me not to leak anywhere but its for the greater good:forcedsmile:










How the Devices Are Claimed to Work





The device squeezes a small area of cheek skin and the underlying soft tissue (including subcutaneous fat and portions of the buccinator or related facial muscles).
This forces fluid out of the local tissue and creates an inward dent while the clamp is in place (and for a short time afterward), similar to how a waist trainer compresses the midsection.
With prolonged or repeated pressure, some plastic surgeons note that ischemia (reduced blood flow) can occur. In theory, sustained ischemia might lead to localized fat cell death (necrosis) or formation of scar tissue/fibrosis that could hold a depression.

Experts have described the process as “basic clamping” that, if aggressive enough and prolonged, may produce scar tissue contributing to an indentation. Results vary with clamp tightness, duration of wear, cheek fat thickness, and individual tissue response. Thicker cheeks are said to be less responsive.

: Sustained clamping restricts blood flow to a small area of cheek tissue. Adipocytes (fat cells) are relatively sensitive to oxygen deprivation. Prolonged ischemia can trigger cell death (necrosis) or apoptosis in the compressed fat pad. If enough adipocytes die and are cleared by the body, a modest reduction in local volume could remain after the device is removed. This is the same principle behind why extreme, prolonged pressure elsewhere on the body can cause fat atrophy or pressure related tissue loss.

Fluid displacement and temporary to semi permanent volume change: Compression immediately forces interstitial fluid and blood out of the pinched zone, creating an indentation.
