I've read recently some stories about some disabled kids whose parents thought it was a good idea to get them a disabled pet, so they would see they aren't alone in this world, and there are other people just like them.
For example this kid in a wheelchair received a three-legged dog.

This little boy who was bullied because of a cleft lip and heterochromia received a cat that looks just like him.

Do you think this is a good idea, or it would simply make the kids feel more miserable by reminding them every day of their flaws and why they are different than the others?

I would like a dog that will rope soon so we can be compatible.

If a male model had heterochromia it would be considered a good feature.
