Not an agency owner, but I was required to use Slack to communicate with the team of this one project and it definitely gives more professional vibes than Discord, functionality-wise there doesn't seem to be a big difference.

i don’t use either, clients are supposed to have your phone number and email, that’s it.

honestly, all communications with clients should be to send them invoices, that’s it. Actually I don’t even do that, I just auto charge their card.

but if it’s required by your niche or if a higher ticket client wants it, I’d use Slack

just watch out since they’ll be auto kicked from the channel after 90 days if they don’t buy slack premium.
