Distortion effect?

Autist question but i have this one photo (undistorted school ID pic) where my fwhr is 1.85 and my mfr is 0.96, both being good with the mfr being ideal, but in selfies my fwhr drops to 1.7 sometimes even 1.65 and my mfr drops to .91-.92, is this normal?

Lens distortion is real, my face was regular width when i took pictures for passport, but narrower when using front camera
