Nicotine can interact with furosemide by reducing the diuretic effect
I've given IV furosemide to a patient, and he started to piss everything out in 30 minutes, so it's extremely fast-acting compared to oral, where it works in your body for several hours. I highly advise against administering it intravenously if you're healthy
