Chamomile can help calm redness because it contains natural anti inflammatory compounds When a pimple appears the skin becomes inflamed and turns red and chamomile can slightly reduce that inflammation making the area look calmer It does not remove the pimple but it helps the skin feel less irritated
In the case of mandarin the possible benefit is based on two things First it contains vitamin C which acts as an antioxidant can add a bit of brightness and over time may slightly help with superficial dark spots Second it has natural acids that create a very mild exfoliation and can make the skin feel a little smoother for a short time Even so these effects are mild and there is a risk of irritation if it is applied directly to the skin
To prepare it first make a mild chamomile infusion using one tea bag or one tablespoon of dried flowers in a cup of hot water for 5 to 7 minutes then let it cool completely After that squeeze a mandarin and strain the juice to remove the pulp Mix 70 percent chamomile with 30 percent juice for example 7 ml of chamomile and 3 ml of mandarin if you are making a small amount Store it in a clean container in the refrigerator and use it within 24 hours
To apply it wash your face with a gentle cleanser and dry it carefully Use a cotton pad to apply a small amount to the area you want to treat preferably at night Leave it on for a few minutes and do not use it more than once a week If you feel strong burning or notice more redness stop using it The next day it is important to use sunscreen because citrus can make the skin more sensitive to the sun
