Guys I wanna do a diy alarplasty by making the cuts on my ala and then drive to the hospital to make the doctors stitch it up. My plan for this is to have my insurance cover the cost of the stitches so it is practically free. Do you guys think the hospital will botch it or my insurance will be snoopy and realize I did it?

self surgeries are a meme there's no way to do anything yourself. you don't have the equipment, technology, anesthesia, precision, and etc, for these surgeries. Also there's a lot more that goes to alarplasty.

How are you gonna make the incisions without numbing the area? How are you gonna preform it and ensure precision? How will you explain what happened to get those cuts? They're gonna be fresh and if not u have chances of infection. Will insurance cover the costs? Will they even stich your nose so that it's smaller and not just normal? Will insurance not take you off because you're a liability of hurting yourself?

you managed to create precise incisions that happen to be on your alar base, one after the other, and you weren't in so much pain you didn't immediatley to the ER? again even if they bought this story, insurance may or may not pay for it and even if they did you're a liability so you could get cut off. forget about the doctors making your alar base smaller, you need to figure out how to attach it back to the first place with costs
