DIY Jaw Workout — How to Train Your Masseters Without Buying Overpriced Hard Chewing Gum

I wanna share a simple trick to train your jaw muscles at home that actually works. that way you don’t have to buy those overpriced “hard” gums that are supposed to train your jaw. You save money and it actually works.


How it goes:​


  1. Grab a regular chewing gum and chew it for a few minutes until it loses all the sugar and flavor — it’ll get soft.
  2. Then just leave that gum somewhere safe for 24 hours or even longer.
  3. After that, the gum gets super hard — like a little rock!
  4. Now, chew that hard gum slowly and carefully until you feel your jaw muscles get tired or even a bit sore (but don’t overdo it!).

Why it works (quick anatomy):​


The masseter is the main muscle that closes your jaw. It’s a thick muscle running from your cheekbone to your lower jaw. When you chew, it’s working hard to clamp your jaw shut.


Chewing super hard gum makes those muscles work way more than usual — kinda like lifting weights for your jaw. Since the gum is so tough, your muscles have to push harder, which makes them stronger and more defined over time.


Drying the gum removes moisture and sugar, so it gets tougher. That resistance makes your muscles grow, giving you a sharper jawline.


Will the gum stay hard?​


Yeah, after drying it’s really hard. When you start chewing, your saliva and warmth soften it bit by bit, but it stays tougher much longer than normal gum. I usually just dry it again between sessions.
