Whenever you swim in the ocean, or sweat a lot, your hair becomes seemingly more "thick", with more texture. This is because the salt drys your hair (no shit). Whenever I get longer hair (I also have straight hair), it always sticks to my forehead with 0 volume whatsoever. But I created a homemade sea salt spray that has been working great.
INGREDIENTS:
NOTE: The oceans concentration of sea salt is 3.5%
Formula A (weaker, 2%)
Application
General Advice (IMPORTANT)
INGREDIENTS:
- Boiled water (cuts tap-water minerals, which extends the shelf life, and helps dissolve everything faster)
- Sea Salt
- Pure Epsom salt (optional) (NEEDS to be pure, some have chemicals that fuck up your hair, or at least do some research (chatgpt))
- Jojoba or argan oil (optional) (keeps hair from drying out)
- Aloe vera gel (optional) (keeps hair from drying out)
NOTE: The oceans concentration of sea salt is 3.5%
Formula A (weaker, 2%)
- Boiled water 1 cup
- Sea salt 1 tsp
- Jojoba oil 2–3 drops (optional)
- Boiled Water 1 cup
- Sea salt 2 tsp
- Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) 1 tsp (if you don't have Epsom salt, replace the amount with regular sea salt)
- Jojoba or argan oil 1/2 tsp (recommended)
- Aloe vera gel (optional)
Application
- Take a shower, or put your head under the sink (wet your hair)
- Spray, or pour some of the solution onto your hair
- Apply generally at the roots of your hair (creates volume, doesn't weigh down the front of your hair)
- Once you get it how you want, leave it, and it will set in about 5 minutes. Don't mess with it.
General Advice (IMPORTANT)
- If you are using anything other than sea or Epsom salt + water, your formula will expire and grow bacteria. Keep in the fridge, dump out after 2 weeks
- You can make a custom formula for stronger or weaker, mess around with stuff
- This shit will dry out your hair if you use it too much. Don't use it when you can

just buy ine for fin five dollars
