Sort of. Xenforo is source available propriety software which means they have access to most of the code but not all of it.

Would it permit an administrator to install custom software (Python)

No drag anddrop editor like Wix. It is all code. Html, CSS, Javascript and I dont know. I would have to read the documentation but for stuff like integrating ChatGPT you'd generally need your own server with full backend access which master doesn't use.

Then, using ChatGPT's JavaScript API library should be possible. If so, we could do signup checks and moderation using it.
