i was rated mtn here, but one of my biggest insecurities despite of my rating is my asymmetry, stuff like one eye slightly more closed than the other and lips not looking fully symetrical piss me off when using front camera, but i wonder if those will genuenly affect me irl or i shouldnt worry too much? for some reason theyre only noticeable in phone cameras but not stuff like the mirror

take a picture 6 feet away with the back camera, that's how u look irl

I genuinely look deformed in the front camera

i have the exact same thing. The short answer is yee it does affect you. Subconsciously peoples brains notive your symmetry and the unconsciously view you as slightly unattractive, although consciously the brain typically ignores assymetrey because it’s normal in humans and not super appealing this means people do still find you attractive and it dosent affect you that much while peoples subconscious makes a slight decision that dosent neccesarliy matter as much as it does if people conciously view you as attractive. It’s actually very unnoticeable, an example of this is when I stood in the mirror next to my friend and they looked like an ogre because of his facial assymetry which I never noticed and still don’t notice due to the human brain. So yes it does affect slightly but other peoples brains are basically saving you.

no lots of features are only noticeable on camera
ipd for example is less noticeable irl
but also momentary expressions and minutia like ur eye being slightly closed

tbh its so hard to notice it irl if its isnt severly deformed. i see barely any asymmetries in people. the most common i see is eyelid asymmetries or smth related to eye area thats the only thing i notice. if u arent severely deformed then it likely doesnt matter. just fix ur posture thats the main thing that gives ppl the autist head tilt

take a horizontal selfie and hold the camera a little more far away. If i do that i become human
