I’m going through the process of braces currently and they want me to wear the elastics like how they’re shown above, in my mid this pulls the bottom teeth forward as it should but i fear that the elastic also pulls my upper teeth backwards causing recession, i’ve drawn a kind of visual of what i assume it does. Is this theory correct or should i just wear the elastics?

It's to opposite nigger
Unless you are doing a specific treatment it won't recess you
You are bringing you mandible forward(also who gives a shit if your maxilla is good but your mandible ain't)
