do braces fuck your maxilla?

im 14 now and have been wearing braces for like a year and i dont really know if they did anything to my face (havent been monitoring and dont have old photos) will they fuck my maxilla?

Braces didn't mess up my maxilla but I got them before puberty, I had and unederbite (jaw too forward projected relative to maxilla) now I have a perfect e-plane

i have a slight overbite so the ortho is making me wear elastics as well is that bad? also can i thumbpull when i get the braces off or will that fuck up my teeth

I'd just wait until you're an adult since you're in puberty but if youre only gonna wear them for short time it would be fine, you really don't have much to lose since your teeth are fucked either way unless the test increase from puberty increases your jaw growth.
