do braces stop skull gains

are there any corrections for overbite that won’t impact skull growth? i’m getting forward growth gains but have a slight overbite, should i wait until im in my 20s to get braces? im 17 with gaps in my teeth and overbite which has always been my biggest falio however only until a few days ago someone told me it can stop your forward growth.

I don't think they do. It makes no sense that they would as long as you have good tongue posture, you eat right with alot of protein and fats, and hit the gym regularly. Add good sleep and your skull should be good
