do braces widen the jaw

my friend's who have had braces when they were younger have wider lower thirds now, this makes me wonder do braces help widen the lower-third/jaw? or is it cope and only helps widen the teeth

no. it simply fixes jaw probelms which means your friends already has the genes for a wide jaw but the braces proablly fixed jaw issues like recession or some othr shit.
