I just started going to the gym but yes, you can workout while being sore. You don’t feel the soreness when performing the exercises. In my case, though, the soreness goes away after the second day and I usually take at least two days off before I go to the gym again.If you can workout yes, DOMS isn't actually tissue damage.
But if it's extremely painful then def no. Don't debilitate yourself.
