I theorize that cranial sutures act the same as growth plates in your tiba or any other bone for that matter.
They create new ostecytes based on hormone signalling however they DO NOT respond to mechanical forces such as chewing, mewing, thumbpulling, etc. at ANY age.
Yes even a one year old won’t see results from hard chewing or god forbid thumbpulling at any level.
Then there’s the palate expander argument, I argue those don’t stimulate the mid palatal suture but rather break the bone at its weakest point, creating a gap for new bone to lay down, the same mechaninisms as limb lengthening surgery or distraction ostegenesis appliances.
Someone with a fucking noggin please confirm or provide logical counter arguments. Note I have done very little research on this stuff as im not too keen on jewish studies.
