Do dental splints prevent maxillary and mandible growth? Or forward growth in general

Not if they are only in the front.
 
mine go from canine to canine on both the upper and lower jaw
mmh I have mine in the lower jaw. On the upper jaw it might be a problem or mewing
 
Not if you’re past the age of significant jaw growth (17-21)

Any retraction orthodontics or extractions are horrible ideas if you’re young and your jaw is still growing.
