Not really in a default way like that. That's not to say there aren't individual differences in clavicle length, bone thickness etc.

Obviously fat, skinny and muscular people exist though, which is what these somatotypes mainly refer to.

Not really. There was one guy who used this in psychology studies decades ago and then bodybuilding bros took this for bro science.

Dividing in these body types is too broad. Better focus on things like witdh of different body parts, insertions and so on

They are a way to describe people on the extreme ends of the spectrum
Most people do not fit into any of the categories but it is stupid to try and disprove their existence just because someone was skinny as a teenager then force fed themselves to gain weight and ended up fat. As if that proves someone can change from ecto to meso.
I very rarely see people with true ectomorphic bone structure
I've had 3 good friends that were the same height as me, 2 of them were skinnyfat and one was just skinny, yet all of them wristmogged me considerably.
None of them belonged to any somatotype grouping
I was at a Dutch festival last month and seen hundreds of guys around my height and not one had wrists as skinny as mine (6.5")

Those 3 types are just a representation of two things
1. Bone thickness
2. Metabolism

Yes but most people are a combination of them. Like ecto-meso or meso-endo. For example I have broad shoulders but long arms, legs, and abdomen. It’s rare to be purely one or the other.
