do elastic bands on braces stun forward growth ?

saw some retards talk about this and i dont really know about it. i was really recessed before i had my braces and had an 2 cm overbite. now i only have 1.5mm overbite and i wouldnt say im really recessed (got ok forward growth). i dont got any teeth removed but i have to wear these bands for a few weeks now and i dont know if they stun forward growth at almost 16.

depends on what class elastics you have been set

i think class iii recesses then class ii gives forward mandible growth? correct me because i know i am wrong and am too lazy to look it up

They don't only stunt growth they also make your jaw even more recessed by pulling the maxilla backwards
