Its probably the youthful fatpads shrinking more than the bones growing

I think the only thing that changes is bone mass and fatpads. Bone placement and shape remains the same. Recessed maxilla remains recessed, low cheekbones remain low,

Ramirez hadn't developed a great bone structure till late teens. That great bone structure developed only in his mid to late 20s. Slightly similar look De Poot too hadn't developed the bone structure in his teens.
