Exactly, they are pretty predictable and they’re all following the same boring ass pattern hurr durr ghost, hurr durr good guys run around, almost everyone gets killed but the main character wins.

There have been a few (somewhat modern) horror movies that made me creep out, Hereditary, Babadook, Smile (the first one, the second one is trash) and Bird Box.
