So I've been trying to debloat for about 2 months now, strictly dieting, watching every single macro and working out 4-5 days a week. I cut down from 16% to about 12%, I could see ribs in the mirror and my undereye hollow became more prominent. However no progress has been made in my face, especially the lower third near the back sides of my jaw. I have jaw pain, especially on my right side and teeth grind while sleeping and even during the day. My masseter muscle feels pretty fucking big, I'm not sure what a masseter should feel like but it feels pretty firm when relaxed and almost like a rock when I clench down. I have 0 zygomatic definition, the muscle pushes out past the entire zygomatic arch all the way to the very top of my ramus. I have jowls and my face is very round and puffy for someone at such a low bodyfat %.
My face is very round and chubby with 0 bone structure definition. Below are my X-rays, however the lower 3rd of my face does not represent what is seen in these scans at all, as u can see I have gonions that peak out at a flare, and then my ramus coves inward then back outwards towards my zygomatic arch. However, it's probably impossible to assume this would be my bone structure based on how I look in person. My maxilla is recessed but not recessed enough to where my face should be THIS bloated, so I think masseter hypertrophy is the main culprit for my face being so bloated. The reason I think this is I have seen many users here claim that masseter hypertrophy can make your face rounder and more compact, depending on where the insertion lies. I believe my masseter insertion does go down to my gonion, but it peaks mid ramus all the way to my zygo. Anyways, I scheduled an appointment in 2 weeks to get a consultation; what do you guys think?
