leaness is more important than muscle since less fat affects aesthetics of face and body

You already look very lean, if you don't have abs, it's either because of bad ab genetics or an underdeveloped core, which could be due to the fact that you never trained your abs hard with resistance. If you work your way up to a 315 lb beltless squat and a 405 lb beltless deadlift, you will have six pack abs, unless your genetics prevent you from having abs.

He doesn't look lean at all tbh:ROFLMAO: You can see the fat.

Dn watch. Keep dirty bulking and getting to 30%bf then
No, lean bulking at a 10-20% caloric surplus will only cause you to gain 0.5 lb per week, which means that most of it will be muscle mass, so even someone like me who started at 15% will not get fat by doing this.

You're only looking at the extremes but there is a right way of doing this and it is more in the middle. You can't build muscle while cutting, those who claim otherwise are on high amounts of drugs, they are not natural. I only started to make gains when I started to lean bulk, before that I was always stuck at the same weights even though I trained hard, slept enough and used proper form. Very few people can maingain in the way that Greg Doucette describes it.

You have no idea what you're talking about, you sound like someone who follows fake natties on youtube and Instagram. He has a flat stomach, people who have very developed abs will see them even when they have a bulge, and he doesn't even have a bulge. So, the reason why he can't see his abs is because they aren't developed enough, so they would only be visible at 8% body fat.

At 8% body fat, he would look like a DYEL and lose his sex drive if he isn't on drugs, so he should just lean bulk and train his abs.

The reason why most skinny guys don't have abs is because they naively think that doing endless situps or crunches will give them abs even though the abs only respond well to heavy resistance. This is why bodyweight ab exercises are a waste of time.

You have no idea wtf you're talking about actually, not even gonna read all that. You can clearly see some fat on his stomach and love handles, even a little on his chest. His muscle insertions are also not visible at all. Wonder why ? Not just abs so you can't say he has bad abs genetics. He's looks 15% bf with stubborn fat. That's why he should cut.

He doesn't have love handles. What you see in his upper abs is just bone, not fat.

Abs aren't made in the kitchen unless you have a strong core and you're obese or overweight. Abs should always show at 15% if you have a strong core, and he is not even 15%, he is below that.

Your perception is twisted due to people like Kinobody who cause body dysmorphia in people by telling them that you can't be lean without abs, which is of course a lie used to market programs to gullible people like you.

Even if he has bad ab genetics there's no way he's lower that 15%. and you could stop with the dumbass insults.

Maingianing is literaly the lean bulk. Just the different name. Slight surplus and thats it. U can build musle while cutting if u are newbie and fat tho.

No, maingaining isn't lean bulk, it means staying at maintenance calories and maintaining your weight while gaining muscle mass. Greg Doucette claims that it can be done naturally for years and that lean bulking is unhealthy, and of course he spreads misinformation to sell his 100$ cookbook and he is unaware of natural training because he is not natural himself and he does not seem to remember how he progressed when he was.

You need to work your core stupid indiano.

cut will make u look like Slenderman. looksmin imo

He is around 16% body fat, which is sort of lean, but not as lean as you want for facial aesthetics. He should lose some more fat, then slowly gain

He should also do more core work. Heavy squats and deadlifts, and ab exercises after every workout.

so what should I do for strong abs? Are squats and deadlifts enough?

Squats and deadlifts (without a belt) are the main factor. Aim to reach at least a 400 lb squat and a 500 lb deadlift and your abs will be very developed.

You can also do hanging leg raises to help with those 2 lifts by building the abs directly, but whether or not you do direct ab work, as long as you get strong on the squat and the deadlift, you will have very developed abs.

I'm not saying that ab training is completely useless, but only that if you are muscular but don't have abs when you are lean, then it is because of genetics, but you can still strengthen the abs, it's just that they won't show on your physique as much as someone who has average genetics.

I mean, just look at Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, he is a great example of someone who has terrible ab genetics, who is so muscular that he should have a very defined six pack but never had one. What I am trying to say is that six pack abs are not a good way to determine someone's body fat percentage most of the time, and some people are never going to have a six pack, no matter how strong their abs are. This mainly comes down to body fat distribution.

In my case, I store most of my fat on my belly but very little on my face. So when I was 8% body fat, I had a very chiseled face (think James Marsters from Buffy The Vampire Slayer), but no six pack abs but no fat on my belly, this is because my genetics favour a lean face but not six pack abs, and because I had no muscle at the time. I know that if I were to gain enough muscle, my abs would show but still much less than someone who has average genetics but my face at 15% body fat is as lean as most guys who are 10% body fat. That is simply a matter of genetics.

You can find videos where The Rock trains abs very hard and he still doesn't have a six pack, and no, it's not because he is too fat, he is actually very lean, due to his steroid use.
