He was 19 at the time and is potentially an autist (I don't recall him ever admitting to autism in his posts, yet most posters on here are autists)

It's unrealistic to expect he would have known how to take the compliment further. I wouldn't have been able to at that age

Even if I still haven't mastered how to escalate from compliment to sex, I can at least compliment her back, flirt, etc at my current age
