i know that jewish dermatologists require and recommend that you get a blood test before getting on accutane, but how necessary is it actually that you get one? and how many of you guys who used accutane actually got blood tests lmao

I used it didn't do blood test I did 20mg for like about 5 months im still fine but no acne anymire

I used it and got blood tests, doubles as a free blood test that I got covered by them so I didn't complain. it's not necessary just for them to cover liability in case you have adverse reactions and allows them to see any possible side effects that might not manifest in phyiscal symptoms.
