Do I suffer for 8 months to save 3k

I'm starting uni soon and I have 2 room offers. The first one is cheaper by 3k but i have to share the bedroom (the only room) with some other dude vs. the other its a private bedroom. I'm trying to save up for a few surgeries in the following years so 3k is quite a bit for me

If ur NT like I am just get the private one. I didn’t want to share rooms with another roommate because I don’t want to socialize with the same person every single day so I told my parents to get me a private apartment near my uni

If u try to save the money u run the risk of ur roommate being a weirdo or having bad hygeine
