Do Indians even have any objective reason for existing?

Besides basic labor and being cannon fodder in armies, do Indians (20% of humans) even have a legit reason for existing at all? I don't interact with Indians unless I absolutely have to and I struggle to think of a single downside to this. I can literally ignore 90% of Indians and not suffer for it at all. What happens to these people once automation makes them pointless?
